Journalist Bob Rugurika was released on bail on 19 February 2015 after being detained for a month. The Bujumbura Court of Appeal ordered his provisional release on 18 February 2015 with his bail set at Burundi francs 15,000,000 (around 9,430 US$). He was released on condition that he appears monthly before the relevant investigating magistrate and does not leave the country without the magistrate’s authorization.
