Burundi: Further information on legal concern / death penalty: Jean Minani
On 28 October 1998 Jean Minani was acquitted of all charges relating to the murder of Lieutenant Colonel Lucien Sakubu. Amnesty International had expressed concern that he might be convicted solely on the basis of a statement extracted under torture.
