Write for Rights 2020 Campaign Report
Every December, supporters across the globe write hundreds of thousands of letters, send thousands of solidarity cards, sign thousands of petitions, and take many other kinds of action – all calling for justice for those whose human rights are being or have been attacked. Despite the COVID-19 pandemic, at least 4,496,875 actions were taken for the ten individuals and groups featured in Write for Rights 2020. With lockdowns leading to restrictions on offline events, Amnesty International entities came up with exciting and innovative new ideas that brought in new supporters to Amnesty International and got people taking action.
