Hungary: The Russian-style propaganda law violates human rights and threatens LGBTI people

Amnesty International calls on the Hungarian Officer for Fundamental Rights (hereafter the Ombudsperson) to publicly condemn and immediately refer to the Constitutional Court the recently adopted and promulgated law (hereafter the Hungarian Propaganda Law) that would ban education and advertising that “promotes” or „portrays” homosexuality and gender reassignment among minors. The law violates several human rights, including the rights to freedom of expression, to equality and non-discrimination, and to education.
