Greece: Open letter following visit of Kumi Naidoo, Secretary General of Amnesty International to Lesvos island and Moria refugee camp

In this letter, Kumi Naidoo, Secretary General of Amnesty International, follows up from his recent visit to Lesvos island and Moria refugee camp in Greece. He expresses deep concern about the devastating conditions for the women, men and children at Moria camp trapped in inhumane conditions. Amnesty International urges the Greek authorities to take all the necessary measures required to restore human dignity for those trapped in Moria and the other camps on the Greek islands, and to step up their efforts to ensure refugees are transferred into adequate and dignified accommodation which ensures respect for their human rights.
