Indonesia: Domestic workers continue to be denied legal protection

There are an estimated 2.6 million domestic workers in Indonesia, thousands of whom live and work in abusive conditions. On International Domestic Workers Day, Amnesty International calls on Indonesian authorities to ratify ILO Convention No. 189 and to debate and enact a fully enforceable Domestic Workers Protection Law to better protect the rights of Indonesian domestic workers.
