Amnesty International submits this document in advance of the review of Eritrea by the United Nations (UN) Human Rights Committee (the Committee) in July 2018. This submission to the Committee is based on Amnesty International’s research on Eritrea. It covers concerns relating to right to effective remedy, freedom from torture and other ill-treatment, freedom from servitude, freedom from arbitrary arrest and detention, freedom of movement, freedom of religion.
