Syria: Prisoners of conscience/incommunicado detention/fear of torture

Nine named human rights defenders are being held incommunicado in Damascus and are in danger of torture or ill-treatment. All nine are members of the unauthorised civil and political rights group, the Jamal al-Attasi Forum. Amnesty International considers them to be prisoners of conscience, detained solely for the peaceful exercise of their right to freedom of expression.
