Zimbabwe: Open letter from AI to President Robert Mugabe on the forced evictions in Zimbabwe

In this open letter Amnesty International expresses its concern about the recent widespread, violent and forced evictions of informal traders and families living in informal settlements. The organisation is also concerned about forced relocation from urban to rural areas without adequate support. It therefore calls on the President to cease all forced evictions and to ensure that victims of such evictions receive immediate access to temporary shelters and emergency relief.
