Compilation of Global Principles for Arms Transfers : revised and updated

These Principles bring together States’ existing obligations in respect of international transfers of arms and ammunition. The Principles are proposed by a diverse group of non-governmental organizations. The Principles reflect the content of a variety of international instruments including: international and regional treaties, declarations and resolutions of the United Nations and other multilateral and regional organisations, and model regulations intended for national legislation. The compilation indicates the best general rules for effective control of international transfers of all conventional arms and ammunition.
