Haiti: Amnesty International submission to the UN Universal Periodic Review, 12th session of the UPR Working Group, October 2011

In this submission, Amnesty International expresses concerns in relation to the normative and institutional framework of the State and the promotion and protection of human rights on the ground. Amnesty International is particularly concerned about the judicial system, protection of the rights of the child; internally displaced persons; violence against women and girls; impunity; prolonged pre-trial detention and prison overcrowding.
