Israel and the Occupied Territories: ‘Imad Muhammad Saleh Da’ud – Administrative detention

The above-named, from the Deheishe refugee camp on the West Bank, was arrested on 17 September 1990 and issued with a six-month detention order. He is currently held in the Ketziot detention centre. This is his third period in administrative detention. ‘Imad Da’ud has appealed against the order. At his appeal hearing it was alleged that he had thrown stones and participated in demonstrations. His detention order was reduced by one month. Amnesty International does not yet know if ‘Imad Da’ud is a prisoner of conscience; the organization is also concerned that he may not have had an adequate opportunity to challenge his detention order.
