India: death penalty: Auto Shankar, Eldin, Sivaji

Amnesty International is concerned at the death sentences handed down to Auto Shankar, Eldin and Sivaji by Chengalpattu District and Sessions Court in Ramil Nadu on 30 May 1991 for multiple murders committed in 1988. After confirmation by the Madras High Court, they have until 17 October 1992 to appeal to the Supreme Court. Amnesty International is urging that their sentences be commuted.
