Indonesia: Further information on Muchtar Pakpahan

The Indonesian Attorney-General Singgih announced on 21 July 1997 that the government had rejected a request for Muchtar Pakpahan to receive treatment overseas, after an assesment by government-appointed doctors. He remains in Cikini Private Hospital in Jakarta. Amnesty International is continuing to call for his immediate and unconditional release as a prisoner of conscience.
