Morocco/Western Sahara: “Turning the page”: Achievements and obstacles

Despite significant improvements in the human rights situation in Morocco since the early 1990s, Amnesty International retains a number of serious concerns. This report examines the continuing pattern of abuse, both with regard to past violations, such as the lack of investigation into cases of the “disappeared” and current concerns such as torture, ill-treatment and deaths in custody.
