2003 UN Commission on Human Rights: A time for deep reflection

Amnesty International is calling on the Commission to take decisive steps to address the issues of: Reform of the Commission, human rights and counter-terrorism, an optional protocol to the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights, and human rights of refugees and asylum-seekers. Amnesty International is also raising five countries in which the human rights situation has reached crisis point. Amnesty International is calling on the Commission to take action to protect human rights in Colombia, the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), Israel/Occupied Territories, Nepal and the Russian Federation.
