Viet Nam: In place of veneration, incarceration: Elderly prisoners of conscience

This document focuses on the imprisonment of elderly POCs (over 60 years old) in Viet Nam. The international community increasingly recognizes the elderly as a particularly vulnerable group with special concerns and requirements. This report provides information on a selection of elderly prisoners of conscience from different backgrounds who are currently serving prison terms, mostly for expressing their fundamental rights to freedom of expression and association.
