Amnesty International is concerned by a report that it has received that a supporter of the Kurdish opposition group, Komola, is in prison in Saghez in north western Iran, that he may be suffering torture, and that he is at risk of execution. Fereidoun Faroughi was arrested at the end of September 1988 in Saghez. Since his arrest he has not been permitted any visitors and, in common with all political prisoners in Iran, he has not been given the right to legal representation.
