In this statement, delivered on 12 March 2021 during the interactive dialogue with the UN Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights in Myanmar, Amnesty International urged the United Nations to move beyond statements of concern, and take concrete action at both the UN Human Rights Council and the UN Security Council to protect the rights of the people of Myanmar and to hold perpetrators of international crimes accountable.
