Amnesty International is concerned that V. Dzyabura, A. Maevsky and V. Kozachka may face imminent execution. On 29 October the Soviet daily newspaper Izvestiya reported that these three men were sentenced to death on 11 June 1991 by a military tribunal in the Odessa military district in the Ukraine, after being convicted of the murder of seven soldiers.
