Portugal must protect human rights in its austerity programmes and combat discrimination
Amnesty International is concerned that the austerity measures introduced by the government in the context of the international financial and economic crisis have had a negative impact on the enjoyment of human rights, in particular, on the realization of economic and social rights, by the most vulnerable groups in Portuguese society.
