Amnesty International is seriously concerned for the safety of Joseph Gonzales, Mario Detroz and Ronaldo Comiso, all residents of Sampaloc district, in the capital Manila. They were reportedly arrested on 18 August by men believed to be members of the Intelligence Service of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (ISAFP). They are feared to have “disappeared”, as the authorities have denied any knowledge of their whereabouts.
