In this briefing Amnesty International outlines its concerns including racial disparities in: law enforcement policies and practices, particularly in relation to use of force and policing of assemblies; the death penalty; enjoyment of the right to health in the context of sexual reproductive rights and maternal health issues; the prevalence of gun violence; immigration enforcement; the government’s failure to protect indigenous women from sexual violence; and access to justice for foreign nationals held at the US naval base at Guantánamo Bay in Cuba.
