In three years he was tortured in Jordan, flown from country to country and held in an unknown location. The US programme of renditions must end. Governments must prohibit the transfer of anyone to places where they face torture and ensure that their airspace is not being used in renditions. All those detained in the “war on terror” must be protected from torture and charged and given a fair trial or released.
