Amnesty International submits this briefing to the United Nations (UN) Committee on the Elimination of Discrimination against Women in advance of the review of Canada’s eight-ninth combined periodic reports. In this submission, Amnesty International presents some its concerns about Canada’s implementation of the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women (the “Convention”) with a focus on human rights violations experienced by Indigenous, refugee and migrant women and girls in Canada.
