This submission was prepared for the fourth Universal Periodic Review (UPR) of Argentina on 23 January 2023. In it, Amnesty International evaluates the implementation of recommendations made to Argentina in its previous UPR in November 2017, assesses the national human rights framework and provides information on aspects of the human rights situation on the ground. Specifically, Amnesty International raises concerns about sexual and reproductive rights, violence against women and LGBTI+ people, menstrual health, sex education, excessive use of force and enforced disappearances, indigenous peoples’ rights, climate crisis and migrant and refugee rights.
