Eichmann Supreme Court judgment: 50 years on, its significance today

Half a century ago today, the Supreme Court of Israel confirmed the conviction of Adolf Eichmann for crimes against humanity, war crimes and crimes against the Jewish people during the Second World War. This landmark judgment, contains much that is still of great significance for the world today. However, as this report explains, in some other respects, such as the abduction of suspects across national frontiers and the death penalty, the judgment has not stood the test of time.
