In this submission, Amnesty International comments on the implementation of recommendations accepted by the Indonesian government during its previous review in 2008. The organization highlights human rights concerns such as impunity; human rights violations committed by the police and other security forces; the criminalization of peaceful political activities; attacks and harassment of human rights defenders and religious minorities; religious and gender-based discrimination in law, policy and practice; and restrictions on sexual and reproductive rights.
