Libya: Detainees, disappeared and missing

In this briefing Amnesty International expresses its concern for the safety of those currently being held by forces loyal to Colonel al-Gaddafi. Many people have been subjected to enforced disappearance since the current unrest began in Libya in mid-February 2011. People subjected to enforced disappearance by Colonel al-Gaddafi’s forces must be considered at very grave risk of torture and other ill-treatment and, possibly, extrajudicial execution. This document includes cases of recently disappeared or missing persons and testimonies of witnesses and relatives.
