Consists of an open letter from AI to the foreign ministers of states participating in, or members of: the European Community, the UN Commission on Human Rights, the Conference on Security and Co-operation in Europe (Steering Committee on the Former Yugoslavia), the UN-EC Conference on the Former Yugoslavia, the Organization of the Islamic Conference (Contact Group on the Situation in Bosnia-Herzegovina) and the UN Security Council. It summarizes AI’s concerns about abuses in the context of the conflict in former Yugoslavia. Initatives undertaken by the various intergovernmental organizations are noted and an appeal is made for better coordination among intergovernmental organizations regarding their initiatives on former Yugoslavia.
