Cyprus: Imprisonment of conscientious objectors: Pambos Dinou Charalambous, Andreas Ionathan Charalambous

On 17 October 1994, the two men named above were sentenced by Nicosia Military Court to five months’ imprisonment for refusing to perform compulsory military service. As Jehovah’s Witnesses they are opposed to performing any kind of military service. AI considers them to be prisoners of conscience and is calling for their immediate and unconditional release.
