Amnesty International submits this briefing to the UN Committee on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights in advance of its consideration of the UK’s fifth periodic report on the implementation of its obligations under the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights (the Covenant) at its 42nd session, between 4-22 May 2009.
