Conscientious objector Sotiris Christou Anastasiadis was sentenced to three month’s imprisonment on 23 March 1994 for refusing to perform compulsory military serice. He is one of three conscientious objectors currently in prison in Cyprus. As far as AI is aware, all are Jehovah’s Witnesses. AI considers him to be a prisoner of conscience.
