Maldives: Further information on arbitrary detention/fear of torture

Parliamentary candidates Ibrahim Ahmed Maniku and Abdul Rasheed were released from house arrest in February 2000. Umar Jamal has now been transferred from Dhoonidhoo detention centre to house arrest.
