Syria: Further information on Fear of torture or other ill-treatment/incommunicado detention: Maryam Kallis (f)

Maryam Kallis was visited by the British Consul in Damascus on 8 April 2009, in the presence of the Syrian authorities. Although she has been held since 15 March at an undisclosed location, no charges have been brought against her and the reason for her detention has not been made public.
