Kazakhstan: Aleksandr Kokh

An unofficial source reports that Aleksandr Kokh, aged 25 and of possible ethnic German origin, was sentenced to death on 10 February 1992 by the regional court in Dzhezkazgan. He was convicted of murder and economic offences. He is currently awaiting the result of an appeal against his sentence to the Supreme Court of Kazakhstan. AI is appealing to the Kazakh authorities for his sentence to be commuted.
