In this submission, Amnesty International provides information as stipulated in the General Guidelines for the Preparation of Information under the Universal Periodic Review. The organization highlights concerns in relation to violence against women, including rape, detention of mentally ill persons in prisons, and the rights of refugees and asylum-seekers. Amnesty International also makes a number of recommendations for action by the government each area of concern.
