Abdulsalam al-Hela is a businessman from Sana'a, Yemen. In September 2002 he is believed to have travelled to Egypt for a meeting with Arab Contractors. He appears to have been abducted by the Egyptian authorities and handed over to US officials, becoming a victim of the US practice of rendition and secret detention. His final destination was the detention facility at Guantánamo Bay naval base in Cuba. He remains there to this day.
