Madagascar: Selective justice.

This report presents Amnesty International’s concerns and recommendations regarding the question of impunity for human rights violations and abuses committed in the context of the 2002 crisis in Madagascar. Numerous violations and abuses, including acts of torture and killings, were committed during the crisis by security forces and supporters of Didier Ratsiraka, but also by those supporting Marc Ravalomanana. Amnesty International is also concerned at numerous irregularities in the judicial proceedings against those allegedly responsible for crimes during the crisis. Most of them are currently detained and waiting to be tried.
