United Kingdom: Submission to the Joint Committee on Human Rights: The Justice and Security Green Paper

Amnesty International is concerned by certain proposals in the Justice and Security Green Paper which, if enacted, would fail to ensure respect for the right of anyone whose human rights have been violated to receive an effective remedy. This includes the right of anyone who alleges to have been the victim of a human rights violation to have access to a meaningful procedure in which his or her claim can be fairly adjudicated and, if established, an effective remedy granted.
