Over the last four years Darsi Ferrer, Director of the ‘Juan Bruno Zayas’ Health and Human Rights Centre in Havana, has frequently been detained and prevented from leading and participating in major human rights events. During the most recent detention he was also beaten. Amnesty International considers Darsi a prisoner of conscience and is calling for his immediate and unconditional release.
