Colm Ó Cuanacháin is Senior Director of Movement Building at Amnesty Internation al. He is responsible for ensuring Amnesty International has an increasingly sustainable and effective presence around the world for greater human rights impact. He is a key spokesperson on Amnesty International's Movement issues, including Amnesty international's growth strategy.

Colm has coordinated a wide number of international campaigns for Amnesty International on human rights issues, most recently setting up the Demand Dignity campaign on a range of economic social and cultural rights issues.

Colm has held a number of other roles in Amnesty International, including as Chair of Amnesty International’s global governance body, Secret ary General of the organization's Irish Section, and as the Senior Director for Campaigns. He formerly worked as Head of Campaigns with ActionAid International. He holds a PhD in Human Rights Education.
