USEFUL INFORMATION: &lt;/strong&gt;The post holder is a member of the International Secretariat management team. Its duties include the building of a coherent engagement with the Campaign&amp;rsquo;s plans by the International Secretariat as a whole and the broader Amnesty International movement.&amp;nbsp; At times, travel will be required as may be &amp;ldquo;after-hours&amp;rdquo; work.&amp;nbsp; The post holder is responsible for the Campaign&amp;rsquo;s budget as part of the International Secretariat&amp;rsquo;s overall budget management system and is accountable for its expenditure in line with approved plans and priorities.&lt;br /&gt;

&lt;h2&gt;MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES &lt;/h2&gt;
&lt;p&gt;
&lt;span&gt;&lt;span&gt;&lt;span&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Lead the strategic development, implementation and Amnesty International movement-wide coordination and delivery of the Demand Dignity Campaign&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
Leads development of operational plans and budget, ensuring agreed priorities are implemented;&lt;br /&gt;
Ensures the strategic direction for the Demand Dignity campaign and Amnesty International&amp;rsquo;s work on ESCR is developed, well communicated and broadly understood;&lt;br /&gt;
In collaboration, develop and promote the Campaign&amp;rsquo;s strategy and oversee implementation of activity&amp;nbsp; so that this is aligned to the delivery of its key objectives and priorities; &lt;br /&gt;
Provide strategic leadership to all those directly supporting the Campaign&amp;rsquo;s development and delivery, ensuring that the team&amp;rsquo;s operational plans and associated budget set out a measurable pathway to the effective delivery of the Campaigns&amp;rsquo; overall objectives and priorities.&amp;nbsp; &lt;br /&gt;
Ensure the Campaign&amp;rsquo;s strategy and its associated programme of implementation, including is launch, is supported coherently by all the professional disciplines and functions on which its success depends. &lt;br /&gt;
Establish commissioning, monitoring and review mechanisms that will ensure the Campaign is underpinned by high quality human rights research, policy and legal advice, activist mobilization and government lobbying approaches, multi-lingual and multi-media strategies and fundraising initiatives that are fully convergent with the Campaign&amp;rsquo;s objectives and priorities.&lt;br /&gt;
Lead provision of advice to Amnesty International&amp;rsquo;s operational leadership, so that all Amnesty International directors can have access to the information they require to play their part in ensuring Amnesty International delivers the Campaign to a high standard. &lt;br /&gt;
Communicate effectively with all key stakeholders within and outside the Amnesty International movement, the vision and direction for the Campaign and its launch programme, making expectations clear and achievable and setting out any contributions required in sequence and according to clear schedules.&lt;br /&gt;
Lead the development, implementation and integration of innovative qualitative and quantitative research, campaigning and of activist mobilization techniques that ensure the Campaign&amp;rsquo;s relevance to diverse activist audiences including specifically those in global South and East.&lt;br /&gt;
Ensure the Campaign leads to and is supported by the formation of appropriate and effective partnerships with other international and local NGOs and social movements within the framework of the Campaign&amp;rsquo;s objectives and overall strategic priorities.&lt;br /&gt;
Enable the Campaign to make a substantial contribution to the strengthening of Amnesty International as a diverse multi-cultural activist-based organization.&lt;br /&gt;

&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span&gt;&lt;span&gt;&lt;span&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Facilitate International Secretariat and movement-wide collaboration, cooperation, coordination and learning.&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
Leads multi-disciplinary coordination across the International Secretariat in support of the Campaign&amp;rsquo;s delivery.&lt;br /&gt;
Coordinates International Secretariat inputs to the Demand Dignity International Management Team.&lt;br /&gt;
Builds and maintains internal and external relationships in support of the programme&amp;rsquo;s work&lt;br /&gt;
Contribute as relevant, the Campaign&amp;rsquo;s perspective and priorities to the formulation and development of integrated thematic, regional and country actions and strategies.&lt;br /&gt;
Ensure the activity and budgets of those working to deliver the Campaign are documented, managed, monitored and reported against in keeping with high standards of project management.&lt;br /&gt;
Build, set and implement activity to meet agreed targets for the Campaign, ensuring that rigorous methods are in place for evaluation of the effectiveness of its processes and the impacts of its projects.&lt;br /&gt;
Contribute to, and lead as appropriate, initiatives designed to cultivate a learning environment within the International Secretariat, with a particular emphasis on the promotion and enhancement of work to advance economic, social and cultural rights and the principles of indivisibility and interdependence.&lt;br /&gt;
Contribute effectively to new ways of working across Amnesty International so that there is global coordination, planning and scheduling of actions and joint coordination of the associated thematic campaigning including the selection, organization &amp;amp; delivery of campaign projects. &lt;br /&gt;

Manage the Campaign&amp;rsquo;s Team and Core Relationships&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
Lead the development and implementation of the Campaign&amp;rsquo;s operational plans, budget and income generation strategies.&lt;br /&gt;
Manage effectively the Campaign&amp;rsquo;s staff including by ensuring appropriate resource allocation; adherence to human resource policies covering recruitment, health and safety, training, supervision and assessment of staff; compliance with International Secretariat Staff Terms and Conditions of Employment and related policies and procedures, including those relating to cultural diversity and equal opportunities.&lt;br /&gt;
Promote sharing of information and cooperative work practices within the Campaign&amp;rsquo;s team and by team members with other stakeholders to identify and promote best practice and encourage a culture of learning and professional development.&lt;br /&gt;
Apply within the Campaign team effective quality control systems, ensuring that the Campaign&amp;rsquo;s products and activities meet the organization&#039;s standards of timeliness, ethics, accuracy, consistency, balance, independence, and impartiality.&lt;br /&gt;
Share responsibility for management of the International Secretariat&lt;br /&gt;
Participate in the corporate management of the International Secretariat, including by contributing to: &lt;br /&gt;

We are looking for a proven and talented Senior Designer to take a lead role in the International Secretariat&amp;rsquo;s design unit.

As well as day to day design work on key campaigns, the role includes managing design-led initiatives, advising on visual communications strategies, evaluating the design component of projects and guiding the work of two in-house staff and external freelancers. You will be responsible for ensuring that Amnesty International&amp;rsquo;s Global Identity is managed and deployed across a range of materials, and for maintaining excellence and creativity in all aspects of design work.

This is a varied role, but above all you will have the ability to produce inspirational and creative work through our Global Identity. Design publications and materials from concept to print, ensuring that high quality design solutions are applied to assigned projects within the context of Amnesty Internationals Global Identity and within the agreed work plans of the Design Unit.

Work with project teams and attend project meetings in order to advise on design solutions and formats, and develop design briefs; work to schedule on multiple projects.

Supervise the IS&amp;rsquo;s implementation of Amnesty International&amp;rsquo;s global identity across a broad range of printed products, to ensure that design briefs for new formats or publications, and work done within existing templates, are consistent to Amnesty International&amp;rsquo;s branding.

Responsible for approving all design and layout work, both internal and external, to ensure the quality of the finished product.

Consult with other project stakeholders in order to contribute to planning processes and the monitoring and evaluation of the success or otherwise of printed communications products.

Supervise the work of the Graphic Designer, Production Artworker and other post holders and volunteers, to ensure that design and layout services are maintained to the highest standards.

Liaise with International Production Coordinators in order to supply information on print specifications, external design, print and typesetting vendors as required.&amp;nbsp;

&lt;p&gt;
Lead the development of and recommend new print formats for designed publications and maintain an up-to-date portfolio of reference material and guidelines for other staff. 
&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;
Enhance team and programme objectives with a sound knowledge of communications design practice for organizations with a multicultural target audience in order to keep up-to-date with current design practices and trends.

&amp;nbsp;Work with other team members and the IT program to ensure software solutions for design are up-to-date and effective to use.&amp;nbsp;
