Palestinian refugees in Lebanon: Six decades of exile and suffering

Several hundred thousand Palestinian refugees live in Lebanon almost 60 years after they were expelled from their lands. Their appalling social and economic conditions demonstrate the failure of successive governments to respect and protect their rights. They have virtually no prospect of being allowed to return to the homes from which they fled. This document urges the Lebanese authorities to respect, protect and fulfil the rights of Palestinian refugees and it urges the international community to provide technical and financial assistance to enable the human rights protection of the refugee population.
