AI is concerned that prisoners on death row in Jordan may be at imminent risk of execution. There has been an upsurge of executions in Jordan in 1993. The most recent executions reported were of two men and a woman on 18 November 1993 (Ahmad A n. ‘Abd al-Fattah S A and Tamathil S S).
