Amnesty International urges the Parliamentary Assembly to call on states involved in military action in Iraq to ensure that international human rights and humanitarian law are fully upheld. Of particular concern are the protection of civilians and prisoners of war; issues of asylum; freedom of expression; and the use of excessive force against anti-war demonstrators.
