Iran: Dr Arash Alaei and Dr Kamiar Alaei: Health Professional Action

Two Iranian doctors, brothers Dr Arash Alaei and Dr Kamiar Alaei, specialising in the prevention and management of HIV and AIDS, have been arrested and are believed to be held in Evin Prison in Tehran. The reason for their detention is not known. Amnesty International is urging that both brothers should be released, unless they are to be charged with a recognizable offence and tried under conditions meeting the standards for a fair trial.
