There is serious concern for the well-being of long-term administrative detainee Mostafa Thabit Bayyoumi, a lawyer, who is seriously ill with heart and back problems and is reportedly being denied necessary medical treatment. He has been detained without charge or trial since 1994 despite a number of release orders issued by the courts. He is currently held in al-Wadi al-Gadid Prison.
