After 30 years of grinding repression and economic deprivation, Egyptians have taken to the streets in unprecedented numbers to demand dignity and social justice. All Egyptians must be able to participate meaningfully in shaping their future. The Egyptian authorities must initiate immediately a programme of human rights reform. This document reflects long standing demands by Egyptian civil society. It is meant as a contribution to the formulation of a programme of reforms.
