On 6 September 2008, over 100 residents of Ezbet Bekhit informal settlement were killed by a rockslide. One year on, the difficulties of finding affordable housing continue to force Egypt's poorest people to live in unsafe areas, threatening their rights to health and life. In this report Amnesty International calls on the Egyptian authorities to develop a comprehensive plan to protect the rights to life, health and adequate housing of communities living in unsafe areas.
